NEW Trinity Technology

Cannon Falls, MN — January 7, 2013 — Robinson Outdoor Products, LLC., the leading innovator in scent control technology, hunting apparel, scent eliminating liquids, and tree stand safety equipment, today announces Trinity Scent Control technology.scentblockertrinityscentcontrol.jpg

ScentBlocker® with new Trinity™ Technology.  It’s more than an engineering marvel. It’s a new
milestone in human scent control that goes where no hunting apparel has gone before. Its game-changing properties are so powerful, yet so thin and light, that it takes comfort and performace to a whole new level.

Engineered using a special polymeric resin with huge surface area and fantastic adsorption kinetics, this technology has been more than 10 years in the making. Trinity’s properties provide qualities and features unattainable in other scent adsorption gear. It’s lighter by volume, exhibits stronger attraction for human and organic odors, and lasts longer between regeneration.

“The significance of what this means to a hunter will become obvious”, says Kip Vangsgard, Director of Product and Business Development. “When you start with a material that adsorbs more odor, you can achieve impressive scent control performance in lighter garments with less loading.  This is where Robinson Outdoor Products innovation shines through on behalf of the hunter. Application of this synthetic polymer on new technical fabrics results in absolutely lighter, more comfortable and more user-friendly scent control hunting clothing than ever before.”

Simply put, Trinity not only outperforms the competition, it exceeds even our own expectations. This is the power to get you closer.

Does this technology still perform like it is advertised to? I haven't seen it on recent advertisements and am wondering if there was a glitch somewhere. I understand it has a huge surface area, but does that say it will adsorb odors? What tests have been done? I am curious since I am overly concerned about scent control and elimination, but haven't seen better field results with the old cold fusion activated carbon that you used to sell. I would appreciate your consideration in answering my many questions. Thanks!

    Hi Weston,
Yes, we believe Trinity still performs every bit as well as it was designed to and as it did originally. We haven’t changed the formula so to speak. We tested Trinity technology against our former activated carbon technology, and against Under Armor’s scent control, and against a plain fabric. We tested for adsorption of butyric acid, which we strongly feel is most characteristic of the type of short chain fatty acid that represent axillary (underarm) type odors that emanate from humans. We tested it at a much higher concentration than a person is ever capable of producing. This testing was done at an independent lab, and the results showed that Trinity adsorbed more odor. In addition, it allows us to make lighter weight and thinner garments that still have significant scent control properties. If you are concerned about performance in the field, you might consider doubling up on your Trinity layers just to give yourself that little bit of extra confidence. Good luck this fall!
