Holidays, Hunting, and Traditions

For my family those three go hand and hand. During the holidays family time is very important to me. Well it just happens that hunting season falls right over some of the most important holidays; Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, it never much mattered because when we all got together for the holidays; hunting was the tradition. Thanksgiving morning always included going gun deer hunting with my dad in Wisconsin. It has been like that since I was 10 years old and I hope it remains that way for a long time. In my family there was a lot more to the holidays than giving presents. It was about spending time together and doing what we love together. I often hear the saying “Family’s that hunt together, stay together” and I whole heartedly believe that is true. There is nothing more that I enjoy then quality family time in the woods with the ones I care about the most!
