How His Greatness Affects Us

Welcome back,

Over the past few weeks we have seen and rejoiced that Abba Father is King over His fathomless Kingdom, that He is most Majestic, and that He hold us, as His children, in His almighty hand. We’ve seen that “majesty” is basically defined as “greatness” and from this position He promises us, His adopted children, that no one shall ever pluck us from the security of His hand.

This week we're going to look at how that sovereign greatness translates directly to us, His children. Consider the truth that your Abba Father is King, that His greatness is unlimited, and that you are His child. Now, consider some of what that means to you, His child.

First, you are created in His image. You are the only specie God created to live in two worlds? You are made to inhabit not just the physical world, but also (you can make the case, primarily) to dwell in the spirit world.

Now, hold on to your hats, we have not only been created to live in both worlds, but to rule (in Him) in both worlds! Being His adopted children brings His majesty and His greatness into our lives. He has bestowed on us, and in us, His very nature, the nature of the Lord God Almighty….our loving Abba Father.

He gave us rule to oversee His physical earthly creation, whether it be land, animal, or our own body. We are to walk in His authority, by His name, with Him in the spirit world. We have the greatest, holiest, most majestic Father. We have a shared inheritance with His Son, Jesus.

All of this is part of why we call the gospel “good news.” Today, think about the amazing inheritance and blessings we enjoy as the Majestic One's children. Almost more than we can comprehend!

Note: “but God” is a weekly ministry of Robinson Outdoors Products written for us by pastor and spiritual counselor, Thomas Paige. “But God” is posted each week on the ScentBlocker website and can be found there along with the archives of messages of past months from Thomas. “But God” is also posted each week on ScentBlocker Facebook page and on Twitter.

You may ask, “why would Robinson, an outdoor products company with brands ScentBlocker and Tree Spider, making products for hunters, spend its time on something like “but God”?”

Great question, as we here at Robinson consider our work place our mission field, our products bearing the John 3:16 inscription our outreach. For 2014, there will be a laminated waterproof jacket pocket insert that contains the salvation message printed in two languages. And, we ask the Lord to provide more opportunities for us to be a light unto a dark world.

What responses do we receive from our customers? Each week thousands and thousands of people read the “but God” message online. We receive dozens and dozens of appreciative emails, rejoicing that a company has the courage to stand up for what it believes despite perhaps it not being the most popular thing to do these days. God has blessed our lives and our business!

I hope you will enjoy this weeks’ “…but God” as Thomas continues the series, unto the Lord!
