Daniel "Squeek" Bosch gets it done in Indiana!

Our friend and hardcore ScentBlocker Army member Daniel "Squeek" Bosch recently had an amazing hunt with the guys from TurkeyTracks. Turkey Tracks is a charity that helps limited mobility hunters overcome their challenges by allowing them get out on hunting adventures. For the second year in a row, Turkey Tracks hosted Daniel and his dad Mike on an all expenses paid trip during Indiana's youth turkey season.

Some may remember that Daniel has a unique condition called Hurler Syndrome. Among many other things, Hurler Syndrome affects Dan's mobility. At the young age of 10, Daniel has already undergone more surgeries than most adults will in their lifetime. Daniel's parents have both told me that hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors really help him stay positive and focused on overcoming his challenges. He's a brave young man that appreciates every chance he gets to be outside.

Daniel's dad, Mike gave me the rundown on their recent hunt. "Bradley and Logan called that bird in from a long ways away. It took him almost 45 minutes to get into shooting range and Daniel's heart was thumping. Daniel was using shooting sticks and needed the bird to stop for just a split second... but he wouldn't do it. The only time he stopped it seemed was behind a decoy! We had him as close as 7 yards. But... finally he wandered out to about 30 yards and stopped. In a split second Daniel lined up the shotgun bead and dropped him right there. We were in two separate blinds, and I don't know who was more excited- Daniel, me or the guides. It looked like a tornado with the guides running out there and grabbing the bird!"

This is a day the Bosch family wont soon forget. This is a day the Bosch family wont soon forget.

Thanks to Turkey Tracks for all you do for these brave young kids. Daniel's dad Mike said it best. "I can't say enough good about these people and what they do... they have huge hearts to make this happen for these kids." And thanks to Brett at Tiny T Photography for documenting it all; helping these amazing kids remember their adventures. This season Turkey Tracks is able to offer four hunts to over 70 limited mobility hunters from Tennessee to Michigan! And... next year they will have room for more. Once again, Daniel- Congratulations! We are thankful that your dad came along to haul that turkey out of the woods - that old tom was HUGE! We are really happy for you, and can't wait to see the monster buck you put your tag on this fall. When you do... be sure to send us pictures!
