The SPF rating system provides you a scent elimination guideline to help you design the best scent control system for the way you hunt. The higher the rating you can combine, utilizing all key areas outlined, the more effectively you will be able to hunt. We recommend at least a combined minimum SPF factor of 100 to be successful and see positive results. The more areas you can utilize in your scent control system combating odor at different levels, the more positive results you will experience while hunting.

ScentBlocker® utilizes the best coal-based activated carbon in the world. Our specific carbon was selected due to having a wider pore size than other varieties of carbon. The ScentBlocker® carbon provides a greater surface area so large odor molecules can be adsorbed.

Nick Name (and how you got it!):
Jessi
Favorite place to hunt:
Wherever I happen to be at that moment, that is my favorite place to be.
Describe the day of your first hunt:
My first hunt was with my Dad. We were after squirrels. I was 12, maybe 13 and I was so excited to be going into the woods with my Dad. I remember watching two squirrels chase each other around a huge oak tree as I nervously tried to steady my shotgun. I was shaking so bad I actually had to lean against a tree just to hold myself up so I could attempt to pull off the shot. Much to my amazement, I made the shot. Soon, I was standing over my first game animal. It may not have been a “big” game animal, but it was huge to me. I smiled for days.
What is the most interesting thing you have seen while hunting?

ScentBlocker Suits you own:
Pro-Tech Fleece, & Bug-Lite Suites.
What is your Scent Elimination success secret?:
Don’t dress in your hunting clothes until you are actually ready to hunt. In other words, don’t walk out the door in your hunting clothes and then get in the pick-up and drive to your hunting area; stopping off for gas and a biscuit along the way.
Where you grew up:
Southern, WV
What is the best part about living in Southern WV:
Everybody knows everybody. The communities are small, so you get to know almost everyone in the neighborhood by first name. It‘s a cozy place to live.
Favorite Meal:
A steak with cream potatoes and pull-away bread with broccoli salad. Although my mother fixes a mean sweet and sour chicken that is out of this world; especially her yellow cake with butter cream icing. Either of these meals are the tops in my book.
When you are not on hunting, what are you doing?
Mostly working and helping my husband raise our 2 beautiful little boys. Getting outdoors and just enjoying time with my family. I like to go on scouting trips with my husband or head out to the local 3-D range for a little pre-season practice also.
Who or what motivates you:
My Parents. They have always encouraged me to be the best that I can be no matter what it is I am doing.
Most admirable women:
My mother and Grandmother. They put their family above everything else. They grew up with nothing and worked hard for everything they got. I enjoy listening to my Grandmother talk about how things “used to be”. Talking to her is like going back in time. I admire the love that she shows for her family. My mother never complains about anything, she just does whatever it is she has to do.
Something interesting about yourself that most people do not know:
The first date I had with my husband was at a 3-D Range. He was shooting a compound and I was shooting a recurve….and I think I beat him!!!!
